For vending operators

Find out what your customers wanted but couldn't buy.

VendVoice is a small add-on for the machines you already own. Customers order by voice, and when they don't see what they want, they tell the machine. You get the list, next to what's selling, so you know which product to swap in.

How it works

Your card reader only records what sold. It can't tell you about the customer who looked through the glass, didn't see what they wanted, and walked away. VendVoice asks them.

1

Customers just say what they want

“Hey Vendi, can I get a Coke?” The machine confirms the item and price out loud, they pay the way they already do, and it vends. No codes to look up.

2

Didn't see it? Just tell me.

When someone asks for something you don't carry, or answers the machine's prompt, VendVoice logs the request and offers the closest thing you do have.

3

You get the list

Every week: what customers asked for at each location, how often, and what's selling slowest in the same machine. Your next product swap, already worked out.

What you'd see each week

A request only matters if it tells you what to stock instead. So every request is shown next to what that machine actually sells.

Built for real locations

Designed around what operators and facility managers actually worry about.

Captures the request, not the person

It only listens after “Hey Vendi” or when someone answers its question. We keep what was asked for, never who asked, and every machine carries a clear sign saying so.

Fits existing machines

A compact module that connects to the machine's standard payment interface (MDB). No new machine needed, and it's designed to work alongside your card reader.*

Works with what you have

Already using Cantaloupe or Nayax? VendVoice sits alongside them. Noisy break room or a mumbled order? It asks again rather than vending the wrong thing.

* Compatibility depends on the machine's controller. We'll check your models as part of the pilot.

Find out what your customers are asking for

We're looking for operators to try VendVoice on 2–3 machines for a month, free. At the end you get every request your customers made.

Where we are: VendVoice is in development, starting with operators around Ottawa. The first pilots use a small listening box mounted beside the machine, which doesn't touch its wiring. Pilot partners get the request reports free, direct input on features, and pricing worked out together. Signing up just starts a conversation.

Questions

Will it work with my machines?

Capturing requests works with any machine, because the pilot box mounts beside it and doesn't connect to it. Voice ordering connects over MDB, the standard payment interface in most modern machines, and needs a recent controller. Tell us your makes and models and we'll check.

Does it record people?

It records requests, not conversations. It only listens after someone says “Hey Vendi” or answers its question, and stops when they're done. The request is turned into text on our servers so we can work out which product was asked for. We don't try to identify anyone, and every machine has a sign explaining what's captured.

Do I need telemetry?

No. The request list is useful on its own. If you already have sales data from Cantaloupe, Nayax or similar, the report puts the two side by side so you can see what to swap out.

Won't customers just buy what they can see?

Most will. That's why the machine asks: “Didn't see what you want? Just tell me.” Finding out how many people answer is part of what the pilot measures.

What about payment?

The goal is for customers to pay the way they already do: card, phone or badge. The exact setup depends on your machines and card reader, and we'll work it out with each pilot site.

What will it cost?

Pricing isn't set yet. Pilot partners help decide it, which is why we ask what feels fair.
